Recently, the Iranian Canadian Congress (ICC) Board of Directors which has no more than 286 members, sent a letter to the party leaders and expressed concerns about the presence of some Conservative Party members in the annual meetings of the Mujahideen (MEK) in Paris.
By taking advantage of the lack of acceptability of the Mujaheddin (MEK) among Iranians, the ICC Boards of Directors of the last few years are trying to gain credit for themselves. On the other hand, they are trying to divert the Iranian community's attention from the tragedies inflicted by a regime more disgraced than the Mujahideen.
The ICC Bylaw emphasizes non-partisanship and this organization is obliged to act according to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms of Canada. Unfortunately, the recent letter from the board of directors violates both.

Due to the closure of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, some institutions operating in its place have unfortunately succeeded in benefiting from the government's financial assistance provided by citizens' taxes for foreign government interests in Canada.
My purpose in sending this letter is to emphasize that the ICC with 286 members is not the spokesperson and doesn't represent the Iranian community in Canada. I request all political parties and the Canadian government to consider the Iranian community's concerns.
I am asking you to exercise greater caution in dealing with people, institutions and media whose activities align with the Islamic Republic's interests.
