مواردی که در رابطه با انتخابات شورای شهر این روز ها بررسی، مطرح و از آنها میامورم، به کنگره و انتخابات آن هم مربوط میگردند.
آیا در انتخابات 2020 که حاصلش وضعیت کنونی کنگره است به نکاتی که میبایست برایشان اهمیت قائل شویم توجه کردیم؟
در انتخاب کاندیداها معیار ما چه بوده اند؟
 آیا شفافیت، ابتکار عمل، یکپارگی، جوابگویی، صداقت، و توان رهبری کاندیدا ها را محک زدیم؟ و یا اینکه تحت تاثیر ظواهر، شعار ها و اطلاعات ناقص و کاذب قرار گرفتیم و در بوجود آوردن وضعییت کنونی سهیم شدیم؟
 

من در انتخابات امسال شورای شهر عدم جانبداری را اتخاذ نموده ام تا با آزادی بیشتر به بررسی موارد در رابطه با انتخابات و کاندیدا ها بپردازم و در حال آشنایی یافتن با نکاتی میباشم که سابق بر این برایم بیگانه بوده اند.

 Issues divide. We need leaders who master the art of comprising to unite.

Today, we vote based on the issues that we support or oppose. Tomorrow, we could fight our elected representative for other problems and may even take the City to court. We could continue this path forever.

One of today's main issues in our neighbourhood, the entire country, and the world is the lack of trust. Lack of trust in politics, politicians, governments and others has made a large majority of people indifferent and a few individuals so radical with such a loud voice that they silence others.
How could we, voters and candidates, face this issue?
Which of our three candidates can unite?

Which of them divide? What stops them from cooperating before and after the election if they have the interests of Willowdale in mind?
Have Lilly, Markus, and Daniel contacted each other? Why don't they sit, talk, and we watch and evaluate their integrity, transparency, knowledge, initiative, sincerity, accountability and leadership?

Are they waiting for debates to be organized for the same questions and replies?

My final word is about their plan to increase participation.

Values vs Issues

How can we evaluate if a candidate can advance an issue once in the office? How can we recognize a candidate with an agenda? How can we know that a candidate doesn't hide behind issues?
